The 55,000 BTU  operates on a standard 20 lb. propane tank which safely sits underneath the unit, and is accessible through a hinged door. This Longmont Aluminum Rectangular LPG Fire Pit functions both as a fire pit, and as a handsome outdoor patio table with its convenient extruded aluminum fire bowl lid. This unit produces a beautiful full flame. Comes complete with clear fire glass (18 lbs.), and covers for fire pit and propane tank.

Troubleshooting: Some models take 3-5 minutes for the propane to purge the air from the gas hose.  Please allow plenty time for this process to occur before pressing the igniter button.
